Kudos for Oak Crest in Design Awards

With spacious, varied designs and location in Fair Oaks Ranch, Oak Crest offers high value for family homebuyers that has been noted by Best In American Living Awards (BALA). BALA judges named Plan 4X a finalist in its Specialty Room category, citing the home’s flexible guest suite. “This is a special honor for a special space,” said Joyce Mason, vice president of marketing for Fair Oaks Ranch builder and developer Pardee Homes. “We strive to provide our buyers homes with great function and style, and we appreciate this recognition!”

An annual competition sponsored by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) and Professional Builder magazine, BALA attracts the nation’s top new home and community designs. Awards will be presented at NAHB’s International Builders Show.

Offering more than 470 square feet of space, the Plan 4X guest suite is modeled with sleeping quarters, seating and media space and a kitchenette. Its expansive layout features four windows, a full bath and a walk-in wardrobe. BALA judges reviewed aesthetic appeal, functional strengths and most important, how well the design addresses the needs of its users.

“The guest suite is ideal for in-laws, extended stay guests and blended households,” said Mason. “Or buyers can choose two bedrooms or two junior suites with a shared bath. These possibilities add one more plus to the Oak Crest package of lifestyle values.”

Priced from the low $600,000s, Oak Crest’s two-story homes showcase Spanish, Traditional and Italian architecture. Interiors range from approximately 3,211 to 3,960 square feet, with four to six bedrooms and two and one-half to four baths. Each home also includes a three-bay or three-bay tandem garage.

Like Plan 4X, the other Oak Crest designs provide distinctive, flexible layout choices. Plan 4 provides an optional exercise room instead of the second bedroom and features a large, optional deck off the master suite.

Plan 2 features an optional bedroom and guest bath on the ground floor; this home also offers an optional deck off the upstairs master suite.

Plan 3 buyers can consider a library instead of the formal dining room, and a media or guest bedroom with full bath in lieu of the ground floor den. An extra-spacious laundry/hobby room can replace the optional fourth bay in the home’s tandem garage design. This innovative space can be finished with an optional work island, cabinetry and desk, with plenty of room for an optional laundry sink and appliances.

“These optional spaces enhance the already terrific designs at Oak Crest,” said Mason. “Buyers here will find additional choices, plus the price-included features and amenities that have made Pardee Homes a homebuilding leader.”

Among these is Pardee Homes’ EnergySmart™ program, with advanced features and systems that help reduce home energy consumption. “Our new homes offer energy efficiency that makes running a home more economical than older homes and homes built to conventional standards,” said Mason. “Our EnergySmart measures also make a more comfortable home year around, and they reduce greenhouse emissions and the use of natural resources.”

Shoppers considering Fair Oaks Ranch can also review the new homes at Laurel Park, where two-story designs reflect French, Spanish and Traditional styling. Priced from the high $400,000s, Laurel Park homes provide approximately 1,830 to 2,432 square feet of living space with three to four bedrooms and up to three baths. Each home also provides a two-bay garage.

“These varied floor plans provide a wonderful range of choice for today’s lifestyles and households,” Mason added. “We invite area buyers to come see all of our new homes, and to learn more about the wonderful Fair Oaks Ranch lifestyle.”

That lifestyle includes family neighborhoods in an established, popular master-planned community. Fair Oaks Ranch features a freeway-close location that eases commutes to downtown Los Angeles. The community also offers proximity to local shopping, dining, fitness centers, entertainment and services.

Equally desirable are advantages within the community. These include the Fair Oaks Ranch Community School and its playgrounds and sports fields; a hiking and walking trail; preserved oak trees; hundreds of acres of open space and the new 6-acre Fair Oaks Ranch Park.

To reach Fair Oaks Ranch, take the 5 Freeway to the 14 Freeway North and exit at Via Princessa; turn right to enter Fair Oaks Ranch. Turn left at Lost Canyon Road and follow the signs to sales galleries, open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Sundays and 1 to 5 p.m. on Mondays.
